Privacy Policy — VLR Facilitators Learning Management System

Last updated: July 2026

VLR Facilitators Pvt. Ltd. ("VLR", "we", "us") operates this Learning Management System ("LMS") to deliver skill-training programs. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the LMS, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can reach us about it. It is written with the requirements of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind.

1. What data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we cannot see your password).
  • Training records: the batches you are enrolled in, lessons completed, quiz attempts and scores, attendance records marked by your trainer, and certificates issued to you.
  • Administrative records: actions performed by administrators and trainers inside the LMS are logged (who did what, and when) for accountability.

We do not collect financial information, government identifiers, or precise location data through this LMS, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only cookies essential for signing you in are used.

2. Why we collect it (purpose)

  • To operate your training: enrolment, lesson delivery, assessment and attendance.
  • To issue and verify completion certificates, including public verification of a certificate number.
  • To report aggregate training outcomes (e.g. batch completion rates) to VLR's institutional clients and, where applicable, government skill-development programs. Aggregate reports do not identify you beyond what the program legally requires.
  • To keep the platform secure and accountable.

3. Who can see your data

Your trainer can see your progress, scores and attendance for batches they teach. VLR administrators can see all training records. Authorised external evaluators may be given read-only access for program assessment. Anyone with a certificate number can verify the name, course and dates on that certificate through the public verification page — this is intentional, so employers can confirm certificates are genuine.

4. How long we keep it

Training and certificate records are retained for as long as needed to support certificate verification and program audit obligations — typically at least the duration of the relevant program plus applicable statutory periods. Account data of students who never complete a program may be removed on request. Retention specifics will be finalised on legal review of program contracts.

5. Your rights and grievances

Subject to the DPDP Act, you may request access to, correction of, or (where legally permissible) erasure of your personal data. For any privacy question, request, or grievance, contact the VLR grievance contact below. We aim to acknowledge grievances within 7 days.
